ALTO MasterCard is a prepaid card, not a debit or credit card. ALTO is specifically designed to give Thorne Credit Union members complete control of their money as they can only spend the amount loaded on the card.

Your ALTO card can be used wherever you see the MasterCard acceptance mark including purchases on-line, over the phone, mail order and at over one million ATMs in over 210 countries. The ALTO MasterCard offers TCU members the following:

• Retail convenience and the flexibility of a MasterCard - pay for goods, bills, services or draw cash from ATMs/cash machines both in the UK and abroad

• Secure alternative to cash - works on a PIN simply block your account if lost or stolen • Control and budgeting - only spend what you load on the card. Check your balance at any time by text, telephone or via the web site

• Simplicity - on your instructions TCU will load your card remotely this could be from an agreed loan or a transfer from your savings account with TCU If you are TCU member and wish to apply for your ALTO MasterCard it’s so easy
