Saving and Repaying Loans

"The convenience and security of Direct Debits, Standing Orders or Payroll Deductions"

To be a member of Thorne Credit Union you must save regularly. Minimum membership is £10 monthly or £2.50 weekly and we accept payments by direct debit, standing orders, payroll deduction and cheque. 


Direct Debit:  This is the preferred payment method  for members it provides benefits for both the member and the Credit Union as follows. Request a direct debit mandate from the TCU Member Services Office.

  • Easy and convenient method both to pay and administer
  • Certainty of payments enables  budgeting
  • Security and integrity guaranteed by the financial institutions who are BACS members


Standing Order:  Request a standing order form from the TCU Member Services Office.

Payroll Deductions: Speak to your employer who will advise if they operate a payroll deduction scheme.
